Reduce Disk Usage – xneelo Control Panel

1) Determine the cause of excessive disk-usage.

First port of call is to determine what is causing the disk over-usage, i.e. is it unnecessary emails or website files, or both.

In the xneelo control panel:

1. Select a product from the side menu.
2. Select the domain name.
3. Under the “Hosting Tools” section click “Disk Cleanup“.
4. Disk Cleanup displays a summary of your disk usage across website files and mailboxes .

2) Remove the unwanted files or emails.

Depending on the cause, you can reduce unwanted files or emails or both as follows:

A) Reduce disk over-usage by removing emails.

In the xneelo control panel:

1. Select a product from the side menu.
2. Select the domain name.
3. Under the “Hosting Tools” section click “Disk Cleanup“.
4.  Find and click the mailbox in question.
5. Now select the ellipses (three dots) on the right and select one of the options to cleanup the mailbox.

B) Reduce disk over-usage by removing website files.

Removing unwanted files can be done via FTP or via the File Manager in the xneelo Control Panel.

Caution! Consult your web developer to ensure you are deleting the correct website files and not required website files, as deleting incorrect files/folders can break your website.

Option 1 – To delete websites files via the File Manager, in the control panel: (easiest)

1. Select a product from the side menu.
2. Select the domain name.
3. Under the “Hosting Tools” section click “File Manager“.
4. Select either single files/folders or multiple select files/folders and then click the ellipses (three dots) on the right and select delete.
