In cPanel you can change your mailbox or email account password as follows:
Option 1 – Change an Email Password in cPanel:
- Login to cPanel (You can do this from the Web Assist Client Area or by visiting http://your-domain.com:2082 and replacing “your-domain” with your actual domain name. If there is an https:// security warning you can ignore it and continue).
- Click the the Email Accounts icon in the Mail section.
- Click the Password link next to the email address in question.
- Type your new password in both boxes, then click the Change Password button. Please note you must use a strong password (strength of at least 65). ALTERNATIVELY you can use the Password Generator option right there to automatically generate a new strong password for you.
Option 2 – Change an Email Password in Webmail:
- Log into Webmail using webmail.your-domain.com (replacing “your-domain” with your actual domain name).
- Click on your email address in the top-right corner, then click on the Password & Security link.
- Type your brand new password in both boxes, then click the Change Password button. Please note you must use a strong password (strength of at least 65).
