In cPanel you can change your mailbox or email account password as follows:

Option 1 – Change an Email Password in cPanel:

  1. Login to cPanel (You can do this from the Web Assist Client Area or by visiting http://your-domain.com:2082 and replacing “your-domain” with your actual domain name. If there is an https:// security warning you can ignore it and continue).
  2. Click the the Email Accounts icon in the Mail section.
  3. Click the Password link next to the email address in question.
  4. Type your new password in both boxes, then click the Change Password button. Please note you must use a strong password (strength of at least 65). ALTERNATIVELY you can use the Password Generator option right there to automatically generate a new strong password for you.

Option 2 – Change an Email Password in Webmail:

  1. Log into Webmail using webmail.your-domain.com (replacing “your-domain” with your actual domain name).
  2. Click on your email address in the top-right corner, then click on the Password & Security link.
  3. Type your brand new password in both boxes, then click the Change Password button. Please note you must use a strong password (strength of at least 65).
