Please note: This is for users with cPanel control panel. If you’re hosting control panel is konsoleH use this guide.
Creating a new mailbox in cPanel is simple:
Method 1 – Login to cPanel to Create a new Email Account / Mailbox
- Login to the Client Area.
- Click the “Services” tab.
- You’re now at the “My Products and Services” page. Find your service and click the “Active” button.
- Under the “Quick Shortcuts” section click “Email Accounts“. You’re new automatically logged into cPanel at the “Email Accounts” section.
- Type in the email account you want and insert the password of your choice (or use the password generator).
- Edit the “Mailbox Quota” if you don’t like the default size of 1GB (1024mb).
- Click “Create Account” and you’re done.
Optional: To view the full mailbox settings or get those same settings emailed to you scroll down and you’ll see a list of email accounts, find the one you just created and then:
- Click “Set Up Mail Client“.
- The settings will be listed there for both the Secure SSL/TLS and Non-SSL.
- Alternatively you can get all those settings email to you. Scroll down to the “Email Instructions” section.
- Insert the full email address you want your new mailbox settings emailed to anc click “Send“.
Method 2 – Create a new Email Account / Mailbox Directly from the Web Assist Client Area
- Login to the Client Area.
- Click the “Services” tab.
- You’re now at the “My Products and Services” page. Find your service and click the “Active” button.
- Scroll down till you find the “Quick Create Email Account” section.
- Type the name of the new mailbox you’d like to create in the appropriate box.
- Type in your preferred password.
- Click “Create” and you’re done.
